Capability Pattern: Change Management Evaluation
This scenario describes the main tasks performed to evaluate the modified change management practice.
Work Breakdown Structure
Description

This evaluation scenario covers the new work needed to manage a change with configuration management enabled. It assumes that you already have a lifecycle project set up and configured to use configuration management. You will play the roles of Project Manager, Requirements Engineer, Reviewer and Configuration Lead. There are two primary drivers for following this usage pattern: governance and live, in-context process advice. T

The governance principle of "say what you do, do what you say" is realized by mapping the main activities, described in the process guidance, into Work Item templates. By creating work items based on these templates, you automatically follow the prescribed process. The in-context process advice helps you with detailed instructions (generic and/or tool specific) on how to perform the associated tasks.

The focus of the evaluation is to understand how to use the main process assets (guidance and RTC work item templates) that support the configuration management aspects of a typical change management process.
